Trip to Whidbey Island

For my second tour, Bush joined us and we took the ferry up to Whidbey Island. Thanks to my cousin Elizabeth for the itinerary. She and her husband, Eric, lived in the small town of Coupeville while stationed on Whidbey. We had a fantastic trip! It is an absolutely beautiful place in the great Northwest!

Our first stop was the town of Langley. We did a little shopping.

The sail boat races in Penn Cove.

The main street of Coupeville.
A Touch of Dutch in honor of my friend Annemarie!
We had lunch at the Mad Crab.
In my dutch get up for Annemarie. I also bought some Dutch licorice. Yummy!

Looking back across after we had walked the full bridge. My heart was pounding the whole way! It is super high!

Representing all the way up here in Washington! Go Boys!

On our way back across. You have to cross under the bridge to go the other side so you don't get run over on the highway.
