Glee

I am a fan of Glee and I love the part where they quickly give you a recap of what happened on the last episode. So here is my attempt to quickly recap you on the past two months of our lives! We certainly have been busy. I have been pretty much working two jobs and Bush has spent his spare time taking our front yard from this:

To this: A complete front yard make over!

So here's what happened:

After picking up Bush's parents in Vancouver we took a short trip to Central Washington:

First stop: View of Columbia River.

Dry Falls on our way to Grand Coulee Dam

Taking in the views of the dam from the bridge.

The dam on our way out of town:

Next stop: Lake Chelan, WA.

Comparing wine notes.

View of Lake Chelan from our hotel. It was a little cold...Bush went for a quick swim!

Breakfast at the Blueberry Hill.

Wine tasting.

Nest destination: Leavenworth, WA, a Bavarian village set in the mountains north of Seattle.

We had brats and beer for lunch.

Enjoying happy hour at the Sleeping Lady Lodge. One of the most amazing places here in the NW. We are headed back there for a wedding in December. Can't wait!

The lodge is named after the peaks that look like a sleeping lady.

The next weekend we had a BBQ in the sun at our place. It was one of the warmest weekends we had all summer even though it was late September!

Swift and his dad enjoying a pumpkin ale.

Anniversary! We celebrated our first anniversary with brunch at one of our favorite spots and also had dinner with Bush's parents. We also attempted to taste our cake but settled for a carrot cake cup cake instead. Bush and I celebrated our anniversary together a few weeks later with a couples cooking class!

In early October I took a quick trip to Aspen to catch up with Missy and got to see a few other friends too!

Lauren and Emory at lunch.

The gallery girls with the newest addition Mr. Myles.

Me, Missy and Emory on a quick hike. I loved being back in Colorado!

Halloween! Mom came to visit on the same day that we host our Halloween party at the buildings I manage.

Me and my team.

Mom's visit was quick but we had time to go visit her sorority sister who lives on Bainbridge Island. It was my first time to visit and will go back for sure.
On the ferry back to Seattle.

Pumpkins! Our first Halloween at our house was a success so much so that we had to go out and get more candy!

The next weekend we celebrated our anniversary with a couples cooking class. It was so much fun and the food was yummy!

Bush helping to prepare the meat. This chef was from New Orleans!

Working the grill!

Our veggie stack creation.
Making our apple tart. Thanks to Dot for my cute apron!

A few weeks later I hosted a lingerie shower for my friend Mary Beth! We had a great time.

She had to guess who gave her what and if she was right the person who gave her the lingerie had to wear it and if not she had to. She guessed right for the set I gave her. Here we are showing off our outfits!

That weekend we celebrated our friend Jana's birthday with a burlesque show. It was so much fun! First time in a while that I have stayed out until 1:30! Way past my bed time! It was a fantastic evening!

And that has brought us to Thanksgiving week! We have had a very fun filled past two months. Dorothy came for Thanksgiving and we had a lot of snow while she was here! I will post a Thanksgiving post later. We are looking forward to our friends the Allens arriving in a few weeks, Mary Beth and Guy's wedding, celebrating Robbie and Jeni's wedding and we are heading home to Dallas for Christmas! Hope you made it through our post!
