Our deadline for finishing our first list of major projects has arrived! We knew when we moved in that our first guests, the Allens, would be arriving to stay with us in June and that we had to have our house guest ready. Projects have included fixing water damage, taking down wall paper, adding texture to all walls, painting all walls, starting the trim work in the living room, striping the paint from the vents and returns, new blinds and making the house a home. We also had to do a little yard work and had to tidy up our basement which has been used for construction center. So here are a few pics showing off what we have accomplished so far. We are taking a break over the summer to enjoy the sun (when it arrives). Projects for the winter and the next couple of years include painting all trim floor, windows and doors, re-doing bathroom floor, finishing the basement and re-doing kitchen. We also need to do a major yard renovation too but ...one thing at a time. Our house is now feeling like home. We are ready for visitors!

I love it! You guys did a wonderful job! Believe it or not, but we have the same pillows on our couch that you do, and if your bookcase is from Crate and Barrell, then we have that one too! But your house looks a heck of a lot cuter than mine! Enjoy your time with the Allens!
