Vancouver Kind of Christmas!

This year we spent Christmas in Vancouver with some of Bush's family.  His aunt, uncle and cousin, Sandra, Matthew and Alex were visiting from Christchurch and his aunt Fay and other cousins live up that way.  We had a wonderful time exploring the city and spending Christmas day with Fay and her family!

Lunch at Cactus Club - Sandra,  her sister-in-law Tracy, brother Jed, Matthew, Bush, Me, Alex.
Bush enjoying a "girly" Christmas drink sporting his Christmas scarf from Jsu-Jsu.

About to enjoy the lights at Van Dusen Gardens!
The light display was unbelievable.  The gardens are covered  with lights and you walk around the pathways around the lake to enjoy.  It was amazing.  We even got a few snow flakes!

Getting in the spirit of things!

On Christmas Eve we did a little shopping and walked around Vancouver, enjoyed a gospel choir service and went to a fantastic dinner at the Pan Pacific Hotel over looking the water.
The Christ Church Cathedral is the oldest church in Vancouver.  The inside is beautiful but most of my pictures did not come out or do it any justice.  The service was one of the high lights of our trip.  Very uplifting and festive!

We enjoyed Christmas monkey bread over a puzzle and opened a few gifts from our family followed by a Christmas morning walk with Matthew at Stanley Park...cold but not raining!

Weird little statues in the park right across from Sbucks where I was headed to get an eggnog latte.  Only time of year I drink Sbucks coffee.
Just about ready to sit down to Christmas dinner.
Alex with his Mum.
Pavlova!  One of my favorite things about New Zealand!  Made from scratch by Fay.
